Prior to founding Preston, Alex worked in emerging markets private equity, served as the CEO of Havens (a luxury destination club), and held various positions in both origination and secondary roles at investment firms including JP Morgan Securities, Nomura Securities International and Barington Capital Group.

Alex is a graduate of Drew University, Harvard University and Harvard Business School. He enjoys golf, skiing, sailing and private aviation.

Craig Walenta

Hailing from Northern New Jersey, Craig J Walenta is a licensed attorney in the State of New Jersey and a serial entrepreneur. He is currently an owner of three companies. Having graduated from Drew University with a BA in Economics and German and an MBA/JD graduate from Seton Hall University, Craig’s diverse experience in law, business and economics will be of tremendous value to this website.

 

 

 

Ian Jeffrey Slavin


A native of New Brunswick, New Jersey, Ian attended high school in Sierra Vista, Arizona, then served for two years in the United States Army. His education includes an A.A. in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland – European Division in 1990, while he lived in Worms, Germany (which was then West Germany); a B.S. in Political Science, minor in Philosophy, from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, in 1996; and a J.D. from the Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon, in 2007.

Prior to opening his own law practice in 2009, Ian’s work history includes: paralegal for a domestic relations law firm; process server; private investigator; volunteer court-appointed special advocate; child support enforcement officer; account analyst; investment broker; substitute teacher; and legal assistant for a law firm specializing in worker’s compensation defense.

Ian Jeffrey Slavin is an attorney practicing family law, criminal defense and contract litigation in Portland, Oregon. Ian is also a frequent contributor to USConstitution.net.

Barry Morrison

Mr. Morrison graduated from High School in 1990 and went on his Mission for his church from 1991-92 in Sendai, Japan. After coming home, he sought  a degree in Nursing, and began working in various local hospitals, working in the ER/ICU/OR/Labor&Delivery/Med-Surg Units, until deciding to switch majors. In 2005, Mr. Morrison completed his Bachelors of Arts in Political Theory, at The University of Puget Sound, in Tacoma, Washington. After graduating in 2005, Mr. Morrison enrolled in law school and in 2008, he graduated from the University of La Verne College of Law, in Ontario, California, with his Juris Doctorate. He is currently a member in good standing of the Washington State Bar Association. Currently, he is the Public Defender for the City of Federal Way, Washington.

Jason Schuck

Jason Schuck is a graduate of Drew University, where he majored in Political Science, and Georgetown University Law School, where he specialized in constitutional law. He currently resides in Champions Gate, Florida, working as a legal analyst for a leading international publisher.
